What AME actually does. What she doesn't.

What is TradeScale Plus, in one sentence?
TradeScale Plus is an AI sales admin called AME — she answers your phone, replies on every channel 24/7, books test drives, runs your customer pipeline, manages stock, chases aftersales, drafts review replies, and forecasts your month. One login. One platform. £499/mo flat.
Does AME replace a real admin?
For most indie dealers, yes — at least the call-answering, message-replying, pipeline-managing, aftersales-chasing parts. Your admin still handles paperwork, signing, taxis, the human bits. AME handles the digital workload.
Can she actually book a test drive on a live call?
Yes. She checks your diary, suggests slots, confirms with the customer, adds the entry, and sends the customer a recap SMS. All inside the call. We'll show you on the demo.
Does she handle complaints?
Gracefully — she takes the complaint, logs it as red-flagged on the customer card, and routes to you immediately. She won't try to resolve a complaint herself.
Can she handle finance enquiries?
She quotes basic monthly payment estimates from deposit + term + APR. Complex finance questions (subprime, multi-deposit structures) she flags to you for follow-up.
Will she work with my existing AutoTrader listings?
Yes — our Chrome extension captures listings directly from AutoTrader, Car Gurus, eBay, Facebook Marketplace. One click per listing.

What's the total monthly cost?
£499 to TradeScale Plus, plus your Twilio and Vapi usage billed directly by those providers. Typical all-in: £535–£600/month. We benchmark this against the £1,400–£2,200/month a typical indie dealer pays for the stack AME replaces.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Onboarding is included in the £499. We do the stock import, Twilio + Vapi setup, AME tuning, and a week of hand-holding for free.
Am I locked in?
No. Monthly rolling contract. Cancel any time with 30 days notice.
What if I have multiple dealerships?
Multi-site discounts available. Speak to us in the demo — we work it out per-site.
Are there per-user fees?
No. Unlimited users on your account at £499. Add your sales team, your admin, your partner — no extra cost.

Setup & onboarding.

How long it takes. What you do.

How long until AME is live?
5–7 days from the demo. Stock import is automatic, Twilio + Vapi takes about 30 minutes of your time, training takes 3–4 days of you correcting drafts.
Do I need a technical person?
No. We walk you through every step. Twilio + Vapi are the only third-party setups and we do most of the work — you click "authorise" a couple of times.
Can I keep my existing phone number?
Yes. We port it into Twilio. Zero customer disruption.
What if my website doesn't have a stock feed?
We use the Chrome extension to capture your stock directly from your site (or from AutoTrader, etc). Works on any UK dealer site, including Cloudflare-protected ones.
Do my staff need training?
~30 minutes for someone who's comfortable with a phone. AME HQ is designed for non-technical users. We have a written runbook and we're on chat support during onboarding.
Category 04

The AI itself.

How AME thinks. What she sounds like.

Will she sound like a robot?
No. AME's voice is high-fidelity natural-UK-accent synthesis via Vapi. Most callers don't realise — but she always introduces herself by name so it's honest. On text, she replies in your tone (we tune her with you).
What models does she use?
Anthropic Claude for text and reasoning. Vapi (which runs OpenAI Realtime under the hood) for voice. We don't lock you into a model — we route to whichever performs best for each task.
Can she learn from my corrections?
Yes. In draft mode every correction you make tunes her future replies. She converges on your voice within the first week.
What happens when she gets it wrong?
Every reply is logged. You can see what she sent, edit her training, or roll back. We've not had a hard failure — but mistakes are recoverable.
Does she ever make things up?
She's grounded in your real data — your stock, your customers, your dealership facts. If she doesn't know something, she takes a message and pings you. She doesn't invent answers.

Data & GDPR.

Where your data lives. Who can see it. What we do with it.

Where is my customer data stored?
Supabase Postgres in EU-West (Ireland). UK GDPR + DPA 2018 compliant. Encrypted at rest, encrypted in transit, per-dealer row-level security so no two dealers' data ever mix.
Do you use my data to train AI?
No. Your customer conversations and dealership data are never used to train external AI models. Period.
What if a customer asks me to delete their data?
One-click deletion on the customer card. We honour right-to-be-forgotten requests. Full data wipe + audit log of what was deleted.
Can I export all my data?
Yes. Full CSV export of customers, conversations, vehicles, sales, aftersales touches — any time, no extra cost.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
We give you 30 days to export. After that, deleted in line with UK GDPR retention rules. We can hold longer if you ask in writing.

Support.

When something goes wrong. When you need a human.

What if AME stops working?
We monitor uptime continuously. If voice or text goes down for any reason, you'll get an email within 5 minutes. Calls fall back to your normal voicemail — you never miss the call entirely.
What's your support response time?
Email + chat support, Mon–Fri 9–6 GMT, response within 4 hours. Urgent issues (AME down, customer-facing break): 24/7 escalation, response within 1 hour.
Can I talk to a human about my account?
Yes — book a call any time, no extra cost. Founder-led for now (so you talk to the person who built it).
Do you have a roadmap?
Yes. We ship weekly. Public roadmap available on request — and founding-cohort dealers vote on priorities.
